Sheet Metal Fabricator
Able to layout and fabricate sheet metal parts to customer requirements or aerospace specifications. Works with plans, travelers and specifications on a daily basis. Measures, marks, forms and debur sheet metal. Operates various types of equipment to include saws, cutting machines, computerized equipment, hand and power tools and light metalworking machines – to cut, bend, drill, shape or form the metal in other ways such as:
- fitting, joining and fastening the sheet metal parts to construct the final products or installation pieces.
- finishing products and checking that they meet quality, safety and other standards and specifications, and
- repairing and maintaining sheet metal work.
Ability to corroborate work with other sheet metal fabrication technicians. Assists in preparing work schedule, meet time constraints on work and oversees the work product. Participates in production meetings. Keeps team members informed of developments learned on the job. Coordinates with other departments and work centers to meet production goals. Attention to detail, quality and quantity of job progress. Keeps in-progress jobs moving forward to completion. May attend status meetings. Performs various other miscellaneous duties as required.

Requirements
- Knowledge of aviation practices and procedures.
- Blueprint reading and interpretation.
- Able to multi-task and delegate authority.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Five years of aviation experience in a sheet metal environment.
- Sheet Metal Fabrication: 2 years experience (Preferred)
