Painter
Bondo application “bodywork”, applying high build primers to fiberglass surfaces, accurately mixing and applying paint and clear coat applications using gravity feed spray guns, color matching, masking delicate areas, performing quality checks, and ensuring a flawless finish on aviation interior and exterior Composite and metal parts. Finishes equivalent to high end Custom vehicles are required. Maintain a clean and organized work area within the paint booth, adhering to safety regulations. Proficient in using various painting tools and equipment, including spray guns, sanders, and mixing equipment. Adhering to safety procedures regarding hazardous materials like paint fumes and proper use of personal protective equipment.
Skills Required
- Able to read drawings and interpret drawing notes relating to surface applications.
- Understanding mixing ratios and mixing techniques.
- Preferred skills in PPG Envirobase Waterborne paint systems.
- Cut and buff clear coat applications
- Able to repair and blend paint and clear coat imperfection.
Job Description
- Job Type: Full-time, In Person
- Pay: $18.00 – $20.00 per hour
- Schedule: 8 hours Monday-Friday
Experience Required
- 2+ years experience in the field or in a related area.
- Has knowledge of commonly used practices, concepts and procedures for priming and painting aerospace products and or automotive.
