It is hard to believe that 1991 was 25 years ago. Gas prices in the United States were at an average of $1.12 per gallon. A dozen eggs cost just 85 cents. The Dow Jones Industrial Average topped 3,000 for the first time. The Soviet Union still existed. The first Airbus A340 and Cessna CitationJet took flight. Tim Berners-Lee was launching something almost no one knew about called the “World Wide Web.” In 1991, Microsoft introduced MS-DOS 5.0. It would be a distant 16 years before the first iPhone made its debut.
In San Antonio, Texas, 1991 would be the year Jeff Bonner used his engineering expertise in aviation to start a research and development company. By progressively expanding capabilities and personnel, JBRND has grown into an internationally recognized leader in the manufacturing of luxury aircraft furnishings serving VVIP, commercial and military clients from around the world.
Over the past 25 years, JBRND has solidified a reputation as an international leader in custom furnishings for luxury aircraft. Jeff Bonner Research & Development has worked for some of the largest aviation companies in the world. Through the years, millions of parts have been manufactured in our facility. With a humble beginning of only two employees, we now boast over 100 skilled and talented staff members. The 65,000 square feet of warehouses spanning nearly a block next to the San Antonio airport shows just how much has been achieved since our garage start-up. JBRND stands out in the field of aerospace manufacturers with unique and comprehensive capabilities. Since 1991 year-after-year, JBRND has proven steady growth. Our future is equally as bright and stable. JBRND would like to thank everyone who helped us reach 2016.
2016 is the ideal year to celebrate our 25th anniversary. As we celebrate, JBRND is reaping the rewards from working to increase efficiency, communications and productivity in every department. Internal communication abilities have been upgraded and streamlined. Among other internal upgrades, expanded 3D printing capabilities have been optimized. JBRND is excited to be announcing many new products throughout the year. 2016 is going to be a fantastic year at JBRND.
